I found these magical little treats at Costco: chocolate mushrooms or Chocorooms.
They are SO kawaii (Japanese for ‘cute.’) That plus the fact that the chocolate is of quite good quality (which isn’t always a guarantee with snacks like these) really presses my Japanese cookie button. ^_^ **super kawaii face emoticon
They are by Meiji, which is the same company that made the cookie treats of my childhood: Pocky, YanYan, and Hello Panda (those round, little, chocolate-filled cookies stamped to look like pandas.) Lauren-the-child was obsessed but they were SO hard to find!
Now, you can find all of them at CostPlus World Market or in the case of these little Chocorooms even at Costco. Have fun pretending to be a mushroom-eating giant in an Edo-era Japanese forest. #dreamsreallydocometrue
